Old Navy has become my favorite place, to buy clothes for Steve. I haven't found a ton there recently but I just want to give credit where credit is due. There has been an enormous amount of negative press related to pit bulls this year due to Michael Vick and the other sick/disgusting/wretched people involved in dog-fighting. The dogs were raised for fighting, and did what their owner, the people they trusted to rely on for their life, told them to do. It is not the breed. I am sick of seeing a million adds with miniature dogs as accessories. They're aren't treated, or seen as dogs. And then I saw this Old Navy commercial a few nights ago, with a litter of blue pit bull terrier puppies. Sure it's a bunch of models showing off scarves but the puppies are all over the place and are shown for what they are, great dogs. So, thanks Old Navy!

That's great!
Remember, not everyone views their toy dog as an accessory.... some of us love them like family.
I just found your blog on Mandy's today and read through them all! Glad I can catch up on things since I'm never on MS anymore! I love tgis ad too, didn't know they were pitbulls..I thought they looked like wheimriners (sp?), but love the cute dogs all the same! And we have a little dog who thinks she's a big dog and we think she's just as crazy as our lab! Two non-accessories :) Two psychos that run our house!
Thanks for bringing this up. Truthfully, I probably would have overlooked the commercial but now I'll keep an eye out for it. Dan caught the dog in bed with me last night, oops...she's supposed to jump off when we hear him coming. Guess she was sound asleep. I love dogs!
