Lesson Learned

Well people. Here is your lesson for the day. You can't complain if you don't vote. So while I am really, really sad to see Alaina go. I didn't vote for her, so I am partially to blame for her entire breakdown. But honestly - Cruella de Vil should have gone instead. Come on America!

Great article about our sad, sad situation with the Sonics. I'm glad the SG wrote something. He's one of the most popular sports writers out there. If anything, watch the Kemp montage on YouTube. It's worth it.

Steve and I are officially a "Vitalized Couple" and have been given the go-ahead to get married. Phew.
And on that note. I was asked a question last night by our pre-marriage counsellor that I sort of flubbed on. "How has Steve made you a better person?" I panicked. Here Steve was just saying all these wonderful things about me and when she asked me, I had no clue what to say. Better? Me? Why? No really - I said something about how when I am stressing out about little things he calms me down. That's total crap and I was called out on it later at dinner. If anything, it's the other way around.

So here's a real answer (that took me a while): Steve actually makes me want to *be* a better person. Everyday. I want to be the best friend he will ever have and to be that I have to be the best person I can be. Inside and out.

He's Charlie Brown people. He's the best man I know. I want to be Peggy Jean or the Little Red-Headed Girl. Not Lucy.

Though I think my Mother called me that my whole life, just to tick me off ..

My sappy post for the month. Love you Hon. Sorry I buckled under pressure.

Blurred Reality

First thing is first. Nice work Cougs! And thank you Fox Sports Northwest for making my mouth water when you showed a picture of Cougar Country. Jesus! I really do miss Pullman.

Okay. We all know I love Reality TV, or, at least some of it. So, I thought I would put up my fav's so far. I can't really pick Project Runway because it's so late and it's become clear to me Christian kind of has it in the bag.

American Idol!!

Love these two, for entirely different reason. Jason will totally struggle since he's really never been on stage and kind of only does his own thing but I love a little originality every once in a while. So, kudos. And I think Alaina totally has what it takes for this show. She is young, has one of the best voices and makes it look easy (ala Kelly). Go team. I can't *stand* Chikezie.

Oh, and Top Model. Of course. I hate the fighting and screaming. It's so pointless and it hurts my ears. But I think by far the cattiest-anorexic-most-likely-to-do-daytime-TV on the show is winning because she is absolutely delicious. So, have fun Allison. Rip their hair out.

Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives

Steve and I rarely, ever, agree on a TV show. He sits angrily through American Idol, Project Runway and Gossip Girl (though I think he secretly loves GG, I mean, who doesn't'?) and I shriek through Mad Money, NASCAR and Outdoor Wisconsin. So the fact we finally found one, is worth blogging about and I thought I would share.

Side note: I thought Guy Fieri was really full of himself and super-annoying when I first started watching, and now I love him. And I basically want to go to just about every place he talks about. So - TiVo/DVR people! You will thank me!!

I have already recommended Cougar Country AND the Breakfast Club in Moscow .. but another mention couldn't hurt.

Awards Galore

My lovely friend Amy posted a blog that I am excited to be able to pass on (I got a mention!). The “You Make My Day” Award given to some of her favorite blogs.

The rules are: “Give the award to 10 people whose blogs bring you happiness and inspiration and make you feel happy about blogland. Let them know by posting a comment on their blog so they can pass it on. Beware you may get the award several times.”

So here we are, Wohn's World style "You Make My Day" Blog Awards ..

1. Fittingly, the Knit Girl's home in Chicago. A wonderful take on knitting, cooking and anything else that pops into her head.

2. Ginapaolooza. A truly witty Dem who I have stayed in touch with merely through this blog when we both get busy. I know, personally, no one funnier.

3. As she likes to be called "T's" blog on life. Sometimes she inspires, sometimes she makes me laugh, and sometimes I just wish I was part of her family. Okay, not sometimes. ALL THE TIME.

4. Why did she move?!? That's right. So I could live vicariously through the best LA stories around Sundance (oh, and she wanted to live her dream, well, I guess that's okay).

5. The reason I love Old Navy.

6. It's been sooooo nice cathing up with this lovely mom through her blog!

7. Another wonderful Mom take on life, love, and two little girls.

8. Technically, they are blogging, but my life would be truly empty without Heather and Jessica. Katherine Heigl is a Fab.

9. Obviously. Trent gets BIG UPS.

10. Witty. Smart. Cool. Birth Control.

**11. Had to add this one. Probaby the only blog Steve reads, that I enjoy as well (no - he never reads mine).

Skeezy Men

I just got back from lunch with the "ladies" and noticed not one, but two, skeezy men, *wearing* blue tooth's while having lunch with several people. No, these skeezy men weren't on the phone, they just had it in, in case. Who does that?!? Can we all agree to ridicule EVERYONE we see with one in? I suppose the Blackberry is just an extension of the idea but it's not in a case stapled to your forehead. These people (my fiancee is also an offender, though it starts from the car and he just walks in with it, to drive me batty) actually WEAR their blue tooth's, at all times. It looks - ridiculous. It needs to stop. This is the absolute only situation I will ever find the blue-tooth in-ear, acceptable. Sigh.

Cold, and colder

Exciting weekend!! Dress fitting (still needs some work), tie shopping (still can't find the right green), showing up to bars with no ID and getting turned down even though I'm 29 (check), all in all, a very lovely weekend. Yesterday it was so cold, I only left to do laundry. My car is frozen in the garage anyway. Our washer & dryer are in the basement, therefore I had to walk outside, and down stairs and today, I am happy to report, my legs are sore. From laundry! One floor down! Such a sad, sad life.

Both the boys got baths, because they smell. And how much do I love the BBC's version of Pride and Prejudice?? I'm such an IDIOT to start it only having one of the DVD's. God-speed Netflix.
