I have a few beefs, real quick, as it's Monday.
If you sent out an invitation, please, please, include an email address along with the phone number. Nothing is more uncomfortable than calling someone you don't know to tell them you're not going to so-and-so's baby shower. Email is so much easier.
Please refrain from saying "Oh, poor dog" when you see Vinney in his coat in 5 degree weather. I don't see you out here naked, walking around peeing, sniffing through snow. It's just a warm, all-weather brown coat. He's fine.
I understand the financial sector is going through a rough patch here but $3 to get cash out is an outrage. All I am going to do is walk to Walgreen's, buy Junior Mints and get cash from Kenneth (the only guy that actually works) so really, you're just making America fatter and pissing off future brides. I hope you're happy.
Don't check your text messages in the movie theater. It's incredibly distracting and I am trying to stare at James McAvoy.
When your team loses a college basketball game in January, there is no reason to cry you foolish girl. You go to UNC. Is it really THAT hard to be a fan?!?
Good Luck Chuck just should never been released to the public. I'd like those 15 minutes back.
That felt good.
So happy to hear of two new dog adoptions today!! And Congrats to Lindsay and Adam on their big engagement!!!

Cesar's Resolutions
I read these today .. hey, I realize I'm a little late. But I thought they were great goals. Now, it's kind of hard to walk outside this much when it's oh, 5 degrees outside, but we're going to try. If not, we're going to play more inside, in a non-aggressive way (no tug of war).
Cesar's Resolutions:
I encourage owners to make a commitment to their dogs a priority in the New Year! Here are a few New Year's Resolutions I recommend.
Walk your dog every day for at 45 minutes to an hour. Walking with your dog twice a day for 30 minutes is the first step toward improving your relationship with your dog. The walk is the foundation of your relationship. It is a powerful tool that will help you connect with all aspects of your dog's mind.
Set rules, boundaries and limitations every day. As a pack leader, you need to set the rules both inside and outside the house. What you allow and don't allow is up to you, but be consistent, use calm-assertive energy, and never, ever correct out of anger.
Live in the moment. Start the New Year with a clean slate for you and your dog. Let go of the past. Don't worry about the future. With your dog and in your day-to-day life, you will find many benefits.
Schedule playtime with your dog once a week. Play fetch. Go for a swim. Play Frisbee. Run an obstacle course. Just make sure your dog has had a long walk beforehand, and only play for the time you have decided in advance to allot.
Share affection...at the right times only. After your dog has exercised or eaten. After your dog has changed an unwanted behavior into a behavior that you asked for. After your dog has responded to a rule or command. Share affection only when the dog is in a calm-submissive state!

CheeseHeads
I love how all these articles are talking about how cold it's going to be in Green Bay this weekend and they show people with puffy coats and a light snow on them. Um, no. That's not the kind of cold it's going to be. It's going to be BITING cold. Like, you're on top of a mountain, there is a snowstorm, you have no warm food, you have no gloves, shoes, socks, no moustache and oh - you're naked, kind-of-cold. Saturday our high is 8, Sunday our high is 14. It's almost always at least 10 degrees colder in Green Bay, Wisconsin. So they're probably looking at about 4 degrees, during the warmest part of the day. That is ridiculous and I don't know how anyone would think that's not a huge advantage for Green Bay. But honestly, people who actually go to that game, even if they win, will have to be piss drunk even to make it through the first quarter. If I see a kid there - I am calling child services. I can't think of anything more miserable. There will be a ton of cases of frost bite - just watch. I mean, I guess I used to just think - wow, that's cold, those people are nuts - but now, after having been in 4 degree weather - I think - those people are bears, and want to die a slow death. No one needs to experience 4 degrees. Ever.

I'm back

I'm not sure if these pictures will work but here you go. They are from the trip down to Mobile and to Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, to check out more things for the wedding, which is somehow feeling very real right now.
Great weekend!! Go Seahawks!! Go Cougs!! Very exciting, I never get two wins in one day. I'd like to say I was less worried about the Seahawks but to be honest, that is the game I wanted to win. There's still a lot of college b-ball left to go. But I will take an ugly win on the road any day.
We saw Juno this weekend which I liked, though it's definitely been a little over-hyped. The lead is fantastic, the story is *really* depressing and I laughed a lot. I should have left Steve at home. I might have to see Rambo now.
Somehow it's 60 degrees today. I have no idea how that happened. It feels like a freakin heat wave and the reason I'm happy is the salt on the sidewalks and streets is gone. It's a major beef of mine, there are plenty of salt products that aren't harmful to pets but it only takes one house to F up the whole thing and ruin Vinney's day. They get stuck in his feet and it really stings him. Note to everyone - use dog-friendly salt. I would rather slip than have to stop because his paws are hurting him!
Have a great week!
